Terms and conditions.

Last updated: 30 September 2026

These are the terms for using the Voktik app and voktik.com. By creating an account, or by using Voktik, you agree to them. See also our privacy policy, which covers what we collect and why. If anything here is unclear, email help@voktik.com and a person will reply within one working day.

1. Who we are, and what these terms cover

Voktik is a trading name of NAP Ecom Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17449874. Our registered office is Lytchett House, Freeland Park, Unit 13, Wareham Road, Poole, Dorset, BH16 6FA, United Kingdom. You can contact us at help@voktik.com. In these terms, “Voktik”, “we” and “us” mean NAP Ecom Ltd, and “you” means the person using Voktik or voktik.com.

These terms cover the Voktik app for Windows, the free and Pro plans, and voktik.com. They sit alongside our privacy policy, which covers what information we collect and why, not what you’re agreeing to by using Voktik.

If you’re using Voktik on behalf of a business, you’re confirming you have the authority to agree to these terms for that business, and “you” includes that business.

2. Your account

You sign in with a Google account, and you need to be signed in to dictate. You’re responsible for keeping your Google account secure; if you think someone else can sign in as you, sign your PCs out at voktik.com/account and change your Google password.

Voktik can be signed in on up to 3 PCs at a time. You can see and sign out your PCs at voktik.com/account, or in the app.

Voktik needs an internet connection to turn your speech into text. It doesn’t work offline.

You must be 18 or over to create a Voktik account (see also Children in the privacy policy).

Your account is for you. You can use it on up to 3 of your own PCs, but please don’t share it with other people (see Acceptable use).

3. Plans, prices and payment

Free

Free gives you 2,000 words a week, back every Monday. No card is needed for Free.

Pro

Pro is £14.99 a month or £129.99 a year, prices shown in pounds and including VAT. There’s no weekly word limit on Pro, and it opens every Pro-only feature, subject to fair use (see Fair use).

Pro is sold through Onelink, part of Stripe. Onelink is the seller of record: it takes your payment, charges and pays the VAT or other sales tax on it, sends your receipts and invoices, and handles questions about the payment itself. Your receipt says “Sold through Onelink”, and your bank statement shows the payment under Link’s name, followed by ours. Stripe’s Sold through Onelink Terms also apply to the payment.

We’re still responsible to you for Voktik itself: what Pro includes, how well it works, and everything else in these terms.

You enter your card details into Stripe’s own payment form, including on voktik.com/pro, where it sits inside our page. We never see or store your card number.

A Pro subscription renews automatically each month or year until you cancel (see Cancelling).

Price changes

If we change Pro’s price, we’ll email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to a subscription you already have. The new price starts from your first renewal after those 30 days. If you don’t want to pay it, cancel before that renewal: you won’t be charged the new price, and Pro carries on until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.

4. Fair use

To keep Voktik affordable and stop a fault or a misused account running up costs, Free and Pro both carry a fair-use limit: up to 2 hours of audio, or 2,000 dictations, in any 24 hours. Free also has the 2,000-words-a-week allowance described above.

If you reach a limit, Voktik stops dictating until it resets. A dictation cut off by the limit is saved on your PC, so you can send it later with Retry. There are also daily spending limits that stop a fault running up costs, described in our privacy policy.

These limits are set for one person dictating as they work, at home or at work. If your use looks automated, or designed to get around the limits, we can restrict or suspend the account (see Acceptable use).

5. Cancelling, and what happens if payment fails

You can cancel Pro at any time, from the app’s Account page, at voktik.com/pro (Stripe’s customer page), or on Onelink’s website, link.com. Cancelling stops future payments; Pro carries on until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, then your account moves to Free.

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it. If the retries keep failing, your subscription is cancelled and your account moves to Free.

6. Refunds and your right to cancel a purchase

If Pro isn’t for you, email help@voktik.com within 14 days of your first Pro payment and we’ll refund that payment in full. You don’t need to give a reason. The money goes back to the card or account you paid with, and your account moves to Free when the refund is made.

After those 14 days, payments aren’t refunded, and that includes renewals. You can cancel at any time so the next payment isn’t taken (see Cancelling).

Your legal right to cancel

If you’re a consumer, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you 14 days to change your mind about something you buy online, starting from the day you buy it. For digital content and services, that right can be lost, or you can be charged for what you’ve used, once you start using what you bought.

Our 14-day refund is at least as good as that right: it applies whether or not you’ve started using Pro, and you get the whole payment back. Asking us for a refund within those 14 days is how you use your right to cancel. Because Pro is sold through Onelink, you can also ask Onelink’s support to cancel within the same 14 days, under its own terms.

Nothing in these terms affects your other legal rights as a consumer, including your rights if Voktik is faulty (see Liability).

7. Refer a friend, creator links, and the disability discount

Refer a friend

Every account has a referral link. If someone creates an account through your link, your friend gets £14.99 off their first payment. When your friend’s first payment is actually paid, you get a free month of Pro. This applies once per friend, and up to 12 rewards a year per account.

We can withdraw or change the referral offer, or refuse a reward that looks abusive or automated.

Creator links

If you join the waitlist or create an account through a creator’s Voktik link (voktik.com/c/ and their name), you get £14.99 off your first Pro payment. On the monthly plan that makes your first month free; on the yearly plan it’s £14.99 off your first year. It applies once, only if you’ve never had a Pro subscription, and not together with a friend’s referral or the waitlist’s founding price: you get the one that’s worth most to you, and a friend’s referral when the two are worth the same. A card that has already had a free month can’t have another.

Disability discount

We offer a 20% discount on Pro to disabled users, on request. Email help@voktik.com to ask for it.

8. Acceptable use

Please don’t:

  • use Voktik for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful, or in a way that infringes anyone else’s rights, including recording other people in a way the law doesn’t allow
  • try to get around the free allowance, the fair-use limit or the spending limits, for example by opening several accounts, or by changing how the app identifies your PC
  • try to get Pro, or Pro-only features, without paying for them, or use a discount or referral reward in a way the offer doesn’t allow
  • sell, rent, lend or share access to your account. It’s for you, on up to 3 of your own PCs
  • use scripts, bots or other automated tools to send audio to our speech service, or use it for bulk transcription, such as feeding it hours of recordings, rather than dictating as you work
  • use our server other than through the Voktik app and voktik.com
  • copy, decompile or reverse-engineer the app, except as far as the law allows you to
  • try to break or test our security, get into anyone else’s account, or interfere with or overload Voktik, our server or the providers we use

You’re responsible for what you dictate, and for what you send once Voktik has typed it.

What we may do

If we reasonably believe you’ve broken these rules, we may limit, suspend or close your account. Where it’s fair and safe to, we’ll tell you first, explain why, and give you a chance to explain or put it right. If it’s serious, such as fraud, an attack on our security, or misuse that’s running up costs, we may act straight away and tell you afterwards. We may also report unlawful activity to the authorities.

9. Availability, and changes to Voktik

We try to keep Voktik and voktik.com available, but we don’t promise they’ll always be up, or free of faults. Turning your speech into text depends on our server and our speech service, which can occasionally be slow or unavailable; the app saves what it couldn’t send so you can retry it.

We may add, change or remove features over time, including Pro-only features, as the app develops. If a change removes something you rely on, we’ll try to tell you first where we reasonably can.

If we ever stop providing Voktik altogether, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before, and refund the part of any Pro payment that covers time after it stops.

10. Ownership

Voktik, the Voktik name and logo, and the app’s code, design and content, belong to NAP Ecom Ltd or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use the app while your account is active. You don’t get any ownership in the app itself.

What you dictate, your dictionary, snippets and history remain yours. See our privacy policy for what we do, and don’t do, with them.

See the Trademarks notice below for third-party names mentioned on this site.

11. Liability

Your legal rights

If you’re a consumer, the law gives you rights that these terms can’t take away. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015:

  • The Voktik app is digital content, so it must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it isn’t, you can ask us to repair or replace it. If we can’t, or don’t within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, you can have some or all of your money back.
  • Turning your speech into text is a service we provide, so we must provide it with reasonable care and skill, and as described. If we don’t, you can ask us to put it right. If we can’t, or don’t within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, you can have some of your money back.
  • If faulty Voktik damages your PC or other digital content on it, and that happened because we didn’t use reasonable care and skill, we’ll repair the damage or pay you compensation.

For more on your rights, see Citizens Advice.

What we’re responsible for

If we break these terms, or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result. Loss is foreseeable if it was obvious it would happen, or if you and we both knew it might happen when you signed up. We aren’t responsible for loss that isn’t foreseeable.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where the law doesn’t allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for breaking your legal rights as a consumer described above.

Things to know

  • Speech recognition isn’t perfect. Voktik can occasionally mishear a word, as every dictation tool can. Please read anything important before you send it. Where Voktik worked as described, we aren’t responsible for the effects of text you sent without checking.
  • Your history, dictionary, snippets and settings are kept on your PC, not by us, so we can’t restore them if your PC fails or is wiped (see What stays on your PC). Keep your own copy of anything important. This doesn’t affect your rights above if faulty Voktik damages your data.
  • We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as a wider internet failure or an outage at a provider we depend on. If that happens, we’ll tell you and do what we reasonably can to limit the effect. If it goes on for a long time, you can cancel Pro and we’ll refund any payment for time you couldn’t use.

If you use Voktik for your business

Many people use Voktik at work, and it’s built for that. If you use it wholly or mainly for your trade, business or profession, or on behalf of a business, the law may not treat you as a consumer. In that case, as far as the law allows:

  • we aren’t responsible for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, goodwill or anticipated savings, for business interruption, or for any indirect or consequential loss
  • our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the greater of what you paid us for Pro in those 12 months and £100

We still provide Voktik with reasonable care and skill and as described, and the limits above don’t apply to anything the law doesn’t allow us to limit.

12. Ending your account

You can end your account at any time by emailing help@voktik.com. If you’re on Pro, cancel the subscription first so it can’t carry on charging you (see Cancelling).

We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, for example by seriously or repeatedly misusing the fair-use limit, or acting fraudulently (see Acceptable use). Where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you why first.

If we suspend or end your account for a reason that isn’t your fault, we’ll refund any Pro payment for time you can’t use.

13. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters — for example to price, to the free allowance or fair-use limit, or to what Pro includes — we’ll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you don’t agree with a change, you can stop using Voktik and cancel Pro before it takes effect. A change to Pro’s price follows the notice rules in Plans, prices and payment.

14. Complaints and governing law

If something’s wrong, please email help@voktik.com first and we’ll try to put it right. Our privacy policy’s Complaints section also covers complaints about how we handle your information.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you can bring legal proceedings about them in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you can also bring them in Scotland; if you live in Northern Ireland, you can also bring them in Northern Ireland.

Wherever you live, you keep the protection of any consumer laws of your home country that can’t be set aside by agreement.
